The back to school transition can be stressful.  Making time to be at home more those first few days and setting up a consistent school-night routine may make the transition smoother.  Talking to our kids about what worries them and offering reassurance is important and having a presence is the first step to opening up the lines of communication. 
And keep up the routine! Research shows that people who eat home-cooked meals, on a regular basis, tend to be happier and healthier.
